25 years of expertise, inspiration and outstanding leadership

Malcolm Trigg

Gantry Railing, one of the worlds leading experts in crane rail engineering marked its 50th anniversary last year. It is no small feat therefore that Managing Director Malcolm Trigg recently marked his 25th year as part of the business.

Now MD of the global operation, Malcolm started out with the Gantrail team as Sales Office Manager back in 1992. And during this time has worked his way up through the organisation taking on the role of Sales & Marketing Director, then onwards to his current position of Managing Director which he has held since 2010.

A true brand champion with an utterly deniable global reach and impact, Malcolm has made it his mission to embody everything that the Gantrail brand represents; expertise, passion, industry insight, outstanding customer service, innovation and an unwavering promise of quality- be that as a leader, a colleague, a supply partner or an industry influencer.

Speaking of this significant milestone Malcolm says:

“It really has been a real privilege to have been part of this incredible team for so many years – the time really has flown – quite literally with the incredible opportunities it has given me to travel the globe and meet industry professionals and work on some outstanding, industry changing crane rail projects. If I look back on the last quarter of a century I am immensely proud of the projects that we have worked on and the very special relationships that the Gantrail brand has forged; with clients, distributors and across our own international teams.”

It may take the average person more than 25 years to plot the miles travelled, the people met and the projects delivered by Malcolm throughout his tenure so far. But the good news for the industry and all that have the pleasure of working with him, is that Malcolm has no intentions of heading off anywhere just yet.

He continues:

“These are exciting times for Gantrail globally – for our clients and our teams, as we move into a new phase of the brand with Gantrex. I feel proud to have steered the ship this far and towards a new world of opportunity and quality, and as part of the board, I will continue to be very hands-on in the future direction of our business.”

GANTRAIL PARTNERSHIP GOES FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH IN INDIA

Following the recent announcement about the new partnership with India based Gallant Engineering, further reports show increased commitment by the in-country team as investment in made in two additional members of staff whose specific remit focuses on the promotion of crane rail opportunities throughout India.

Adding even greater strength and expertise to the well established Gallant team, Mr Dinesh Bhati, Sales Manager and Mr Rajesh Kulkarni – Manager Procurement and Installation Contracts bring with them almost 25 years specialist sector experience having worked for one of Gantrails key competitors within the region.

Speaking of this latest recruitment Gantrail Managing Director Malcolm Trigg commented

“I am really pleased to see that this new partnership with Gallant Engineering is starting to yield real results. I and my colleagues have been extremely impressed with the dedication, effort and commitment already shown by Deepak and his team. This further investment in two highly skilled professionals further reinforces our focus on India as a strategic market and I would like to welcome both Mr Bhati and Mr Kulkarni on board. We are very excited about the short and long term opportunities within the market and buoyed by the direct impacts that have already been made.”

TOC Asia secures its place as a keystone event for Gantrail South East Asia activities

With TOC Asia now over for another year, initial reports back from the Gantrail team are exceptionally positive. More than just a stand alone event, the decision to participate in TOC Asia 2017 was key to the ongoing market development plans for the business. Having attended other TOC events around the world, TOC Asia was one which hadn’t seen Gantrail attendance for a while, so the success of this years show was critical with the business considering South East Asia a key strategic market. The Gantrail team were on hand through the event to showcase the latest product innovations, most notably their new adjustable soleplate system and Mark 8 pad.

Managing Director Malcolm Trigg spoke very highly of his experience at
the show over the 2 days summing up his experience as follows.

“This is the first year Gantrail has participated at TOC Asia for quite a while
and we were not disappointed. On the first day the number and calibre of visitors to our stand was as good as we can remember in all the previous TOC events. We were overwhelmed by the seniority of the many clients and new contacts that were made and we are very excited about the next few weeks and months as we get out and meet them again for continuing discussions.”

With TOC Europe now also just a couple of months away, product development is at the top of the agenda, once again using the TOC event as a platform to meet with key contacts and demonstrate innovation in a specialist environment.

Time to celebrate as Gantrail recognises team long service awards

Its not often that a team hit three significant career milestones in the same month but this was certainly the case this month as it was Managing Director Malcolm Triggs proud duty to recognise a combined long service totalling 45 years attained between three team members.

Receiving presentations and recognition of their continued commitment and service were Dieter Verheyen who marks 10 years with the team, David Howells who has reached his 15 year anniversary and finally Paul Tytherleigh who this year celebrates 20 years as a member of the Gantrail team.

Speaking of these milestones Malcolm Trigg reflects:

“It really is an honour to be able to present these gentlemen with a small token of the very real appreciation that the company feels towards them for their unswerving loyalty, dedication and commitment to Gantrail as an organisation and also as a team. Without exception each person has played a critical role in helping the Gantrail brand become the recognised global organisation that it is today, and I am sure I speak on behalf of all my colleagues when I extend a huge thanks for such superb effort and commitment.”
