TOC Asia secures its place as a keystone event for Gantrail South East Asia activities

With TOC Asia now over for another year, initial reports back from the Gantrail team are exceptionally positive. More than just a stand alone event, the decision to participate in TOC Asia 2017 was key to the ongoing market development plans for the business. Having attended other TOC events around the world, TOC Asia was one which hadn’t seen Gantrail attendance for a while, so the success of this years show was critical with the business considering South East Asia a key strategic market. The Gantrail team were on hand through the event to showcase the latest product innovations, most notably their new adjustable soleplate system and Mark 8 pad.

Managing Director Malcolm Trigg spoke very highly of his experience at
the show over the 2 days summing up his experience as follows.

“This is the first year Gantrail has participated at TOC Asia for quite a while
and we were not disappointed. On the first day the number and calibre of visitors to our stand was as good as we can remember in all the previous TOC events. We were overwhelmed by the seniority of the many clients and new contacts that were made and we are very excited about the next few weeks and months as we get out and meet them again for continuing discussions.”

With TOC Europe now also just a couple of months away, product development is at the top of the agenda, once again using the TOC event as a platform to meet with key contacts and demonstrate innovation in a specialist environment.

Time to celebrate as Gantrail recognises team long service awards

Its not often that a team hit three significant career milestones in the same month but this was certainly the case this month as it was Managing Director Malcolm Triggs proud duty to recognise a combined long service totalling 45 years attained between three team members.

Receiving presentations and recognition of their continued commitment and service were Dieter Verheyen who marks 10 years with the team, David Howells who has reached his 15 year anniversary and finally Paul Tytherleigh who this year celebrates 20 years as a member of the Gantrail team.

Speaking of these milestones Malcolm Trigg reflects:

“It really is an honour to be able to present these gentlemen with a small token of the very real appreciation that the company feels towards them for their unswerving loyalty, dedication and commitment to Gantrail as an organisation and also as a team. Without exception each person has played a critical role in helping the Gantrail brand become the recognised global organisation that it is today, and I am sure I speak on behalf of all my colleagues when I extend a huge thanks for such superb effort and commitment.”

TOC continues to play a key role for Gantrail worldwide

The attendance at key exhibitions and seminars throughout the world continues to be a key driver for our brand and our business, enabling us to have essential face to face contact with clients, partners, distributors and industry professionals. In line with this, our team have recently returned from TOC Americas which is considered to have been another major success.

This year’s event was held at the International Congress Center ICC in Cancún , Mexico. Some 80 exhibitors from all over the world, including ourselves, showcased the latest developments for the container terminal industry.

Speaking of the event Senior Project Manager Dieter Verheyen  said “Visitors and delegates, who came mainly from Latin American countries, showed a great deal of interest and the event was a superb platform for us to present our latest range of products. The new “1-Series” welded crane rail clips  were very warmly received, with their offer of increased load capacity and greater adjustment. Alongside this, we also shared information on our new Mark 8 rail pad with its innovative new surface design and finally the new adjustable chair system for re-levelling of crane rails in case of vertical and lateral settlements.”

Feedback from the event was very promising as there seemed to be a real sense of opportunity for expansion within the region. The development of business throughout Latin America remains a clear focus for the Gantrail brand.
